Head Coach: Keith Gorman
Keith Gorman - Coach Gorman was hired in late September of 2011 to return quality baseball to Cumberland County College. He looks forward to his first season with the Dukes baseball program and working in an area of New Jersey with such a rich tradition of baseball excellence. Before taking over the Dukes baseball program, Gorman was the Head Baseball Coach at Holy Spirit High School in Absecon. At Holy Spirit, Gorman had a similar challenge in that he took over a struggling program. In seven seasons he compiled a record of 120 - 54. In Gorman's last three years at Holy Spirit he led them to three straight conference titles with at record of 64 wins and only 16 losses. Coach Gorman was the Vice President of the SJBCA and the head coach for the Tri-Cape team in the prestigious Carpenter Cup (2010, 2011). He was also named the Atlantic City Press Baseball Coach of the Year in 2009. Coach Gorman is most proud of his program's ability to move players onto and succeed at the next level. In seven seasons, Holy Spirit produced 26 college baseball players with one getting drafted this past June. Gorman will work to make sure his Dukes' baseball players achieve these same goals: moving on in college or professional baseball. Coach Gorman is originally from St. Joseph, Missouri. He played college baseball at Kansas City Kansas Community college and North Central Missouri College before receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri. He received his Master's degree from LaSalle University. Coach Gorman resides in Absecon with his wife Emily and his daughter Leanna.
